SAGE launches open access journal to advance knowledge of pleural diseases

PLEURA to be published as the official journal of the International Society of Pleural Diseases

Los Angeles, CA - SAGE today announces the launch of PLEURA, an open access journal publishing research on recent advances in pleural diseases.

PLEURA will promote a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and management of pleural diseases. Specializing in topics of interest to pulmonologists, critical care physicians, thoracic surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and basic scientists, the journal will inform the daily practice of clinicians working in diverse medical fields and will help establish new guidelines.

PLEURA editor Dr. Maher Tabba has dedicated his career to the development and advancement of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to pleural diseases.

“The International Society of Pleural Diseases was established to promote a greater knowledge and understanding of pleural diseases. PLEURA is intended to be the hub for academic literature and original research related to pleural diseases,” Dr. Tabba stated. “PLEURA’s editorial board is a group of highly motivated, internationally renowned scholarly physicians with great interest in pleural diseases, who have all made tremendous contributions to the field.”
